Planning your Sacred Heart family visit
Choose dates together
Check classes, exams and excursions with your student before booking flights. SHU recommends allowing students time to settle in and suggests visiting after midterm exams or break. Confirm the current academic calendar and program commitments.
Arrange your own accommodation
SHU’s published guidance says family and friends cannot stay overnight in student housing. Harriet’s Cottage offers an independent home for your family visit. Read the official SHU visitor guidance and information for parents when planning.
Create your itinerary
Keep your first evening simple and let your student choose somewhere to eat. Allow another day for exploring the peninsula if the weather suits, and leave time for a shared meal or a quiet catch-up. To help you map out your perfect Dingle getaway, we’ve put together a modern twist on the traditional guidebook, click here for more info.
