🚶♂️ Step-by-Step Walk Description
Start at Harriet’s Cottage

You’ll begin your walk on Main Street , just a short stroll from Dingle’s lively town center. At the very bottom bear right (just after An Droichead Pub) on to The Mall. Once you hit the roundabout go left and up the street passed The Coach House (on your right). At teh top of teh hill bear right down towards the Skellig Hotel.
Toward the Lighthouse
Follow the coastline out towards the mouth of the bay. It may be a little muddy. You’ll walk past pastures and stone walls, and likely hear sheep in the fields. The air feels saltier as you near the peninsula’s edge. After 10 minutes you will see Hussey’s Folly Built in the mid-19th century by the Hussey family—local landlords—it served mainly as a decorative lookout rather than a functional structure. The tower stands on a rise with panoramic views of the harbor and surrounding hills, making it a popular spot for short walks and photos, especially at sunset. Continue past until you get to the lighthouse.
🌊 At the Lighthouse
The Dingle Lighthouse is small but striking — perched on a rocky headland guarding the mouth of the harbor. You’ll have panoramic views across to Eask Tower, the Ring of Kerry mountains, and back toward Dingle town tucked into the curve of the bay. It’s a perfect spot to rest, take photos, and watch boats glide in and out of the harbor.
